What has changed?
Linked Helper has got a proxy validation check added in the Proxies menu of the Launcher. The feature uses https://www.ipqualityscore.com service (with potential support for additional providers in the future) to define the Fraud score of your proxy IP address and it has been flagged for use by bots, crawlers, or VPN/proxy services.
How does this affect me?
From a technical standpoint, nothing has changed — your accounts will continue working as expected.
Linked Helper now checks proxy quality before opening a LinkedIn account, giving you a clearer picture of the proxy you're using. This includes details like the country, fraud score, and whether the IP has been previously used by bots, crawlers, or for VPN/proxy purposes.
What should I do?
If your proxy is marked as Good, then there is nothing to do from your side. If it is marked as Bad, we recommend replacing it to reduce the risk of issues when using LinkedIn..
mini-FAQ
Many IPs from my proxy provider are marked as Bad. Has something happened to the provider?
No — most likely, those IPs were already flagged as low-quality, you just did not know that as Linked Helper didn’t previously offer proxy validation. Without manually checking proxy quality, it’s easy for such issues to go unnoticed.
What proxy provider should I choose?
Linked Helper supports any provider that offers IPv4 HTTPS or SOCKS proxies, and we don’t require our customers to use any specific proxy provider.
If you want to get examples of proxy providers, you can check the Proxy and server providers section of the Special offers article for more info. However, those providers are not the only ones you can use and we cannot guarantee the stability of these third party companies, so you can find another one you personally prefer.
Check Proxy section of the How to stay safe when managing account via Linked Helper article for more info about choosing and checking proxy.
What does Fraud score mean?
Fraud prevention services generate an IP risk score to help others assess the trustworthiness of users. These scores are typically evaluated during key actions such as registration, login, or online purchases, etc. An IP address may receive a higher risk score if it's associated with suspicious activity — such as being caught by a honeypot trap or flagged by websites that report incidents to blacklist providers automatically.
A proxy I've been using without issues for months is marked as Bad. Should I replace it?
To minimize the risk of LinkedIn restrictions or warnings, we recommend replacing any proxy marked as Bad. However, doing so is not mandatory — you can continue using the same proxy if you accept the potential risk associated with it.
What's the difference between ISP, mobile, and residential proxies?
From a technical standpoint, they all work similarly — acting as intermediaries between your device and the internet. The key differences lie in their IP origin and risk of detection by websites.
Datacenter Proxy – Comes from cloud providers or data centers. Fast and cheap, but easily detectable since it's not tied to a real user or location.
Mobile Proxy – Uses IP addresses from real mobile devices on 3G/4G/5G networks. Very low risk of detection, as mobile IPs are considered highly trustworthy by most platforms.
ISP (internet service provider) Proxy – IP addresses assigned by Internet Service Providers, but hosted on servers in a data center. They combine the trust level of residential IPs with the performance of datacenter hosting.
Residential proxies – represent real user IP addresses obtained by attracting users with desktop devices. Peers, by giving provider a part of their resources (traffic), have given their consent, and receive compensation for providing their resources.
ISP/mobile/residential proxy are way too expensive, can I use datacenter proxy instead?
Most datacenter IPs are more likely to be flagged as high-risk or associated with bots and crawlers. If you’re comfortable accepting the potential risk of LinkedIn warnings or restrictions, you can use a datacenter proxy.
All my clients are from the same country as I am. Can I run their accounts without proxies?
If you manage 50 accounts, then we recommend using proxy. If you manage 2 - 3 accounts only, then it is OK to run them without proxies assigned.
