Linked Helper 2 campaign has a customizable workflow that can be adapted for many business cases and different purposes by combining several actions one after another. It is also possible to send follow-up messages via an inviting campaign.
Adjusting the current campaign
If you already have a campaign with 'Invite 2nd and 3rd contacts' action, then you can add 'Filter contacts out of my network (keep 1st level only)' and 'Message to 1st connections' Actions after it to send follow up message to such profiles. Here is the link to instruction on the Workflow:
Action Check for replies will be added automatically when message to 1st connections is added to the campaign. You can check the option never to keep profiles in the campaign until they have responded. If you intend to add more actions, you can disable this feature.
Here is how the final workflow should look like in case you added two extra Actions to your inviting campaign with only one inviting Action:
If you already have a campaign created from the 'Invite and Follow Up' template (the workflow is the same that shown in the picture above), then in order to be able to send another follow-up message in a day, for example, you need to add 'Message to 1st connections' action below and set up the delay between messages via the "If no replies are found, move the contact to Successful list" settings of the Check for replies Action.
