Advanced settings for Pass only 1st-degree connections allows you to adjust additional settings you may need in some rare cases.
To enable it please:
- Navigate to the Plug-in Store menu.
- Find Advanced settings for Pass only 1st-degree connections plug-in and click Install button:
- Once plug-in is installed, Advanced settings tab is added to the Pass only 1st-degree connections Action:
Use case
Linked Helper finds accepted invitations by scrolling the “My network” page and stops when the previously found 1st degree connection is found. If you uploaded profiles into the “Pass only 1st-degree connections” action from a CSV file, then you may end up in a situation where you got a lot of accepted invitations that Linked Helper didn’t check for yet with “until previously added found” option because uploaded profiles accepted your invite earlier than the previously found 1st degree connection. “Until first invite date” will make Linked Helper scroll deeper into the “My network” page, going back to the oldest invitation date from all profiles that are still in the Queue to make sure it will check acceptances in a wider date range.
Detailed description
Pass only 1st-degree connections action works like a human when checking for newly accepted invitations. That means it doesn’t call the LinkedIn API to find out whether an invitation was accepted but simply opens the “My network” page of your LinkedIn account and compares it to the profiles in the Queue. How far Linked Helper scrolls down depends on the settings below:
- Check for newly added contacts until: Previously added found: Linked Helper scrolls down till it finds the latest processed profile, and only then it starts to compare profiles in the Queue against the profiles in My network page.
- Check for newly added contacts until: First invite date: Linked Helper scrolls down till it finds a profile that accepted your invite at the date when the oldest profile in the Queue was invited, and only then it starts to compare profiles in the Queue against the profiles in My network page.
- Scroll down to: technical setting that's supposed to be changed only in rare cases during debugging, so it is better to leave it as it is.
