Employees extractor can help you convert companies into their employees by visiting hundreds of company pages one by one and collecting profiles from the ‘People’ tabs.
Unlike most of other Actions, it is not available in a regular campaign. Employees extractor can be only used in its separate campaign type which is designed for processing organizations.
This campaign type can be created from a predefined template of Employees extractor or Organizations extractor campaign. You can also add this action into a campaign for extracting organizations.
To enable the plug-in please:
- Navigate to the Plugin Store menu.
- Find Employees extractor plug-in and click Install button:
- Once plugin is installed, Employees extractor option appears in the list of Campaign templates:
How this action works
When you start a campaign, Linked Helper visits companies in the Queue one by one and collects profiles from the People tab. By default, Linked Helper collects 1 000 profiles per company page.
If there are keywords added into the Action settings, Linked Helper uses them to filter profiles before collecting.
The profiles that were fetched by the search in the People's tab of the company are then saved into the Queue of the campaign mentioned in the Action settings. The Successful list of the current action is used to store processed companies, not profiles that were found and scraped.
Note:
- LinkedIn searches keywords on any place in profile pages. For example, if you add Founder keyword to search for in Netflix, then LinkedIn may fetch a number of profiles who are not founders of Netflix, but are founders of other companies they work in.
- When several words separated with spaces are used as one key phrase, LinkedIn fetches profiles who have at least one word from that phrase in the pages. To get only those who have the exact phrase, quote the phrase before adding it to the list of keywords.
- It is possible to use boolean search operators, for example, CEO NOT founder (phrase must be without quotes).
General tab
In the General tab you can:
- Choose whether Linked Helper needs to filter profiles by certain keywords or collect everyone from the People tab.
- If filtering by keywords is enabled, you can add any number of the keywords (boolean search phrases like "founder NOT CEO" can be used).
- Set the maximum number of profiles to collect. For example, if the number is 2000 and you add 5 keywords where each keyword search fetches 500 employees, then Linked Helper will collect only 2000 employees using the first four keywords. The rest will be skipped.
Please note that the maximum number of profiles shown is limited by LinkedIn to 1000 records, no matter whether or not a keyword is used. - Choose a campaign where found profiles will be added to. Since this campaign Queue consumes a list of companies which then are saved in the Successful list, it is required to choose a Queue list of another Linked Helper campaign where found profiles will be added to.
Enhance this action with 
:
- Tagging system - automatically tag successfully processed profiles to filter and group them when needed.
- Postpone action start - postpone Action to let other Actions run.
- Action steps delays - change timeouts to process profiles slower and be on the safe side.
