Note: for most LinkedIn accounts without a LinkedIn Premium subscription LinkedIn limited invitations with text by 10 invites per month. If you don't have a subscription, consider removing the invitation message. to be able to send up to 200 invites per week. - Set up automatic invites canceller to withdraw old unaccepted invitations. We recommend doing this periodically to avoid any issues with LinkedIn since too many pending invites can harm your account:
- Set up a follow-up for those who accepted your invite: If you don't want to send any follow-ups, you can finish campaign creation. Linked Helper will be only inviting profiles in that case:
- If you set up a message for those who accepted your invitation, then in several days you can send another follow-up to those, who received your first message after the invitation (not the invitation message itself) but haven't replied:
- And another follow-up to those who haven't replied to the previous one, if needed. If no messages are needed, click the Finish button:
Filter and collect leads for inviting
Once the campaign is created, Linked Helper offers you to add leads to the newly created campaign.
Note: Linked Helper doesn't have its own filters for collecting from LinkedIn it uses those of LinkedIn search, hence you need to finely filter profiles in LinkedIn search to get the most qualified leads - How to filter and collect profiles via Linked Helper
For that, you need to:
- Click the Continue button:
- Choose the source of the profiles: it can be an external file (CSV, HTML, TXT - How to upload contacts to Linked Helper 2?) with profile URLs or LinkedIn website. Let's choose the LinkedIn website for our test purposes:
- Then you need to choose any of LinkedIn subscriptions: either regular LinkedIn, Recruiter, or Sales Navigator. Do I need a paid LinkedIn subscription to use your service? What advantages can I get with a paid LinkedIn subscription?
- Finally, choose a page where you collect profiles from. This is not a final list as Linked Helper can collect posts likers or commentators as well: Is it possible to collect those who liked or commented post?
- Once again a reminder that you have to apply all the needed filters manually, and then click the 'Collect' button in the left rail menu next to the campaign Queue:
- Once you are on the search page, apply all the needed filters. In this case, we will use Connections (2nd degree), Locations (United States), and Title (CEO) filters. After that, click the 'Collect' button, and then - 'From current page':
- Once collecting is over, you can review collected profiles and the workflow or start your campaign:
Review Action settings
Let's overview the campaign workflow and Action settings. For that, you need to click the Campaign menu and navigate to the Workflow tab:
In the Workflow tab you will see six actions:
- Invite 2nd and 3rd level contacts - sends invitations to your 2nd or 3rd level connections.
Note:
- By default, profiles will be invited via the platform they were collected from (either regular LinkedIn or Sales Navigator). Follow-ups will be sent to the Messaging inbox of the corresponding platform as well. You can change this behavior - How to change LinkedIn platform for processing profiles.
- For some profiles, LinkedIn may request their emails in order to send invitations. You can get those automatically: install Advanced settings for Invite 2nd and 3rd level contacts plugin and enable LH Email Finder.
- If you send your messages via the Sales Navigator platform to those recipients who do not have it, then the messages will appear in the ordinary LinkedIn inbox of the recipient. If a recipient replies to such a message, then the reply will appear in your Sales Navigator inbox. - Filter contacts out of my network (keep 1st level only) - filters those who accepted your invitation and moves them into the next Action Queue while the rest are moved back to Queue for another check in about an hour.
Note:
- It can automatically accept incoming invitations from profiles of this campaign: install Auto accept incoming invites for Filter contacts out of my network (keep 1st level only) plugin and enable this feature. - Message to 1st connections - sends a follow-up message to newly added connections within the previous inviting action.
Note:
- By default, it does not send the follow-up to those who replied anything after connecting or who received a message from you before. You can change this behavior in the Message analyzer tab of the Action.
- It's possible to send those who replied to external CRM using the Send replied to Webhook plug-in. - Check for replies - monitors replies to the messages sent via the previous messaging Action of the campaign.
Note:
- You can set the number of days profile checks for replies in the General tab.
- If no reply is found within a specified period of time, a profile is moved to the "Successful" list and further down in the workflow, and his replies to the previously sent message won't be checked anymore.
- It's possible to send those who replied to external CRM using the Send replied to Webhook plugin.
- Replied contacts will be moved to the Replied sub-list and this is the ending point of the campaign for them, even if you have other actions in your workflow below. If you want them to receive the next message even though that they replied, you can replace Check for replies with Delay between actions or retry such profiles manually - How to send a follow-up message to the profile even if he or she replied.
- Check for replies action searches for replies from the profile only in one platform where the previous message was sent; it does not check a messaging history in several platforms. - Message to 1st connections - sends the second follow-up to those who haven't replied to the previous one.
Note:
- By default, it does not send the follow-up to those who replied anything after previous message or who received a manual message from you before. You can change this behaviour in the Message analyzer tab of the Action.
- It's possible to send those who replied to external CRM using the Send replied to Webhook plug-in. - Check for replies - monitors replies to the messages sent via the previous messaging Action.
Note:
- If this is the last step in the Workflow, then by default, the "never" setting is activated which means the Action continues checking for replies for contacts in the Queue and never moves them to the Successful list. If you add another Action below, then the "never" option is unchecked automatically and the delay is set to 1 day.
Every action can be enhanced with plug-ins providing extra functionality - Plug-in Store.
If you do not want to send follow-up messages, you can delete those actions:
Or vice versa, if you'd like to send another (third, fourth, etc) follow-up, you can easily add it and set up a delay:

Start the campaign
After you set up everything according to your needs, you can start your campaign by clicking the Start button.
Note: campaigns are programmed in a way to get your contacts through the funnel as quickly as possible so the actions are performed from the bottom to the top going from the latest action if there`s anything in the queue to the earliest.
Later, you can export information for successfully processed contacts as a CSV file:
Unfortunately, MS Excel doesn’t support CSV files in the same way as .xslx files. But I am still able to open any CSV file with MS Excel:
